The amazing Borcher’s Special dry fly. This pattern is fairly similar to the Adam’s fly, but it is tied a little bit differently. The Borcher’s special does not use dubbing, instead it uses barbs from the turkey tail feather. This fly pattern was originally tied by Ernie Borchers to use on the Ausable river near Grayling, MI. Bernie was a legendary fly fishing guide in Upper Michigan for a long time. His legacy continues with the versatile and timeless Borcher’s special dry fly.
