The Humpy Adam’s is a great fly for all trout species, but I’ve found it particularly effective for brook trout. You’ll catch fish on this fly from coast to coast. It does a good job of imitating the grey drake, but will also pass for several other mayfly species. It also will catch fish without any trouble using it as a general attracter pattern.
This take in the popular Adams dry fly is a good choice for anywhere you might be fishing. Tied in the standard humpy fashion, but with the appealing grey body that you’d find on the standard Adam’s dry fly.
