These Deerhead streamers are one of my favorite bass flies! I’ve also caught plenty of big bluegill and crappie on them. When they bounce through the water they resemble action of the plastic worm, one of the most commonly used lures in bass fishing.
Colors: Orange and Yellow
The orange mimics the coloration of crayfish/crawdads, while the yellow is just a great color that fish can see in stained water and for long distances. You can’t go wrong with either one!
This is a simple fly that looks a lot like the greatest bass fishing lure of all time, the worm. Look in any sporting goods store and you’ll see the plastic worms and tube jigs which have a lot of similarities to this fly.
